The Role of Community in the Future of Learning

Convergence - when ideas, concepts, and entities inform one another to create a greater whole. How can our public education system converge with our communities to make learning experiences more relevant for students? How can we shift the paradigm of the traditional school system to ensure that the education/community dynamic maintains relevance for future generations of educators and learners? Hear from three experts on community convergence at NCDC19's Convergence Hour.

His research focuses on new success indicators that engage each student in the learning process, help them find their role in their community and secure a path toward it. Happy, healthy, and thriving- Dr. Smith captures the stories from cities and towns across America that are reimagining the home-school-community connection for life beyond 2020. Dr. Smith is dedicated to creating and delivering a common language and practical methodology for the modernization of public education across our country.
